From Résumé to Registrations: A Digital Launch for Philly Roots Soccer Training

Darius Madison had a pro résumé and a logo. We built everything else a new training business needs: the website, online sign-up and payments, a Google profile, social accounts and the tracking to see which of them brings in families.

The Challenge

Darius Madison played for the U.S. U-17 national team, won the 2014 NCAA championship at Virginia, was drafted into MLS in 2016 and played professionally in the USL and in Australia. In 2026 he set out to start his own training business in the Philadelphia suburbs.

He had the résumé and a crest logo. He didn't have a website: his domain pointed at a GoDaddy placeholder. Parents had no way to book or pay, the business had no Google profile, and there were no Facebook or Instagram accounts set up for it.

The launch had to:

  • Tell Darius's story well enough that a parent trusts a new name
  • Show programs, prices and dates clearly, so parents don't have to call first
  • Take payment online, with the training agreement and waiver accepted at the same moment
  • Show up on Google, Facebook and Instagram on day one, with every channel pointing to sign-up
  • Measure which channel brings in paying families

Our Approach

A new name has to earn a parent's trust first, so we started with Darius's story and built out from there.

Phase 1

Story and Content

We drafted Darius's bio and the full story page, which he reviewed and edited. We built the site's look around his existing shield logo: deep green, gold and cream, with condensed display type. On the home page, a “ladder climbed” strip turns his résumé into ten credentials a parent can scan in seconds.

Phase 2

Website

How It's Built

  • Custom-built, with no page builder or plugins to keep patched
  • Fast on phones, where most parents find it
  • Mobile-first, with a separate check on phones before launch

What We Built

9 pages: Home, Programs, Darius's Story, Location, FAQ, Contact, Training Agreement, Privacy, and a payment thank-you page.

Each program lists what the player gets, when and where, so a parent can decide without calling.
Phase 3

Online Sign‑up and Payments

Parents can sign up and pay for any program from the site, through a secure checkout in the business's own colors.

  • Eight purchasable items: private training (1, 5 or 10 sessions), November and December small groups (a 3-session pack or a single night), and the winter break holiday camp.
  • Checkout asks for the player's name, plus birth year, age or session night where the program needs it, so the coach has what he needs without a follow-up call.
  • The training agreement and waiver are accepted at checkout, and the accepted version is recorded on every payment.
  • Each payment emails the coach the parent's name, phone and email and the player's details.
  • Drop-in nights that have passed drop off the list on their own.

Phase 4

Contact and Email

An inquiry form with spam protection. Messages arrive reliably from the business's own domain instead of landing in junk folders, and the business has its own info@ mailbox.

Phase 5

Google and Social

  • Google Business Profile: set up and verified, with services and prices, 12 photos, the service area, the website and a booking link straight to sign-up.
  • Facebook Page: cover, bio, website link and a Sign up button to the programs page.
  • Instagram: profile and website link.
  • Launch posts: three posts written and designed for both networks and published in order, so the grid reads Meet Darius, His story, then Programs and prices. The launch post is pinned on both.
  • Tracked links: every profile link is tagged, so Analytics can tell a Google profile click from a Facebook button tap or an Instagram bio link.

Phase 6

Measurement

  • Google Analytics in the client's own account, so the data is theirs.
  • Every sent inquiry, completed payment (with the amount and what was bought) and tap on the phone number or email is recorded.
  • Each sale is credited to the channel the parent came from, not to the payment page.
  • The site verified with Google and submitted for indexing.
Phase 7

Launch

The site, payments, Google profile and social accounts went live together, with every form and payment tested before the launch posts went out.
